Musicians Needed for Paid Community Gigs

Calling all musicians!

The City of Burnaby is launching a new community music project this summer! We will be featuring local musicians in a series of short concerts in many of our city’s community hubs and recreation centres over a 6 week period starting in mid-July. We are looking for musicians or small music groups to fill up to 50 concerts over this time. These are paying gigs that will offer both emerging and established artists exposure and engagement from community members.

We want to hear from music artists who:

Live in the lower mainland (Burnaby preferred, but not required);

Have experience playing in busker-like settings and flexible spaces;

Are open minded, adaptable, and good humoured!

Play music suitable for ALL AGES;

Have very low or nonexistent tech requirements. (instrument, mic, and amp only);

Solo artists or groups up to 4 people;

Can fill a 2 hour set of music;

And, who are available for a minimum of 6 days from July 15 to September 1 (either consecutively or 1 day per week).
