Igniting Hope – Call for Artists

Deadline: March 15

Art helps us to process and understand the world around us, and recent studies show that it is also an effective form of climate change activism. Further, when the artwork includes “narratives of hope” it helps people to engage and inspires action. This spring the Port Moody Arts Centre presents Igniting Hope, an exhibition with a focus on climate issues and the future of our rapidly changing planet.

Artists are invited to submit 2D and 3D artworks that tell stories, generate awareness, and create opportunities for discussion on climate change and its impact on our local environment. Please include a statement (maximum 200 words) relating your work to the theme. The exhibition also includes a participatory activity and artists are encouraged to participate by sharing individual actions they take to mitigate climate change.
