Storytelling in layering, bonding and stitching with Lorna Moffat

Cost: $100-$110. Participants may choose to use Lorna’s original design of a ‘Big Butterfly’ or ‘Tree of Love’ to make their own unique piece. Lorna will show a sampling of techniques that can be used and manipulated to create a textural collaged background with the addition of layers to the surface to complete the desired design. The finished work will be suitable for a pillow or panel. You will learn: breaking rules and having a lot of fun, bonding techniques, creative stitching using a free motion (darning) foot, making beautiful, playful, surface textures using scraps of your fabric and thread.
