Artist Call (Public Art) – Port Kells Roundabout
Artist Fee: $150,000. The City of Surrey invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) for a public artwork in the centre of a future roundabout at Harvie Rd and 88 Ave in the Port Kells neighbourhood. This intersection has long served as an economic and social hub for the Port Kells community. Positioned as a gateway to Surrey, it features essential community facilities such as the Port Kells Community Hall, library, and firehall, alongside a cluster of heritage buildings nearby. As the area continues to grow, the City envisions this hub as a vibrant village centre where locals can easily access community amenities and commercial services. Infrastructure will be installed at the roundabout to support a significant free-standing sculpture.
