Printing with Ocean Life
Online
11am-12:30pm
Explore your surroundings, discover local ecology and learn to create using materials you find in nature. Rachel Rozanski, Artist in Community, will host virtual workshops demonstrating Gyotaku, the traditional Japanese art of printmaking. Though traditionally Gyotaku was used to print fish, participants in this workshop will print using things they find in their own neighbourhoods. Before the program, participants will explore their neighbourhoods to collect stones, leaves, seaweed, flowers, and other things they might like to use to create art. Please note: children under the age of 12 should be supervised by a caregiver.
