Join us for a virtual, online celebration of the multiculturalism of Canada’s West Coast fishing heritage with the Gulf of Georgia Cannery Society’s annual Pull of the Net! Participants from local community groups include Chinese Lion Dancing by Northern Shaolin Traditional Martial Arts; Coastal Indigenous song and dance by Coastal Wolf Pack; Japanese calligraphy demonstration by Japanese Calligraphy artist – Shien; activities by Ocean Wise; Chinese calligraphy demonstration by Celia Leung; a Japanese Taiko drumming and Chinese musician collaboration by Uzume Taiko and Silk Road Music; and more to be announced soon!
