January 20
Webinar – Holding Space for Disabled and Chronically Ill Opera Artists in Canada
Online
1pm
Co-produced by Richmond-based Opera Mariposa. Loose Tea Music Theatre and Opera Mariposa are excited to announce the third of four sessions in our #HoldingSpace series for disabled and chronically ill artists in the Canadian opera industry. Join us as we continue to build a supportive safe space for networking, fostering dialogue and building community in addition to outlining ideas for actionable change to make the Canadian Opera industry more accessible and inclusive to disabled and chronically ill artists. The ‘Holding Space’ series is open to Canadian opera students, artists, arts workers and creators (whether at home or abroad) who identify as disabled/living with a disability or chronic illness. This includes artists with invisible disabilities or health conditions, including mental illness; neurodivergent artists; artists with undiagnosed disabilities; and artists who aren’t sure whether they’re “disabled enough” to participate.
