New for 2026\, a Pride Kickoff event will take place at the Minoru Centre for Active Living outdoor plaza on Sunday\, July 26 from 2pm to 5pm. The event will feature drag impersonator Carrie Dawn\, a Pride Fusion Dance\, and information booths from organizations offering 2SLGBTQIA+ programs and services\, including Vancouver Coastal Health and Foundry Richmond. DESCRIPTION:August 22 – August 23\nThe 23rd Annual Richmond Maritime Festival\nBritannia Shipyards National Historic Site\n5180 Westwater Drive\nThe 23rd annual Richmond Maritime Festival welcomes all to Steveston to explore the rich nautical culture of the community. The free\, family-friendly event will feature a vibrant lineup of workshops\, puppet shows\, live entertainment\, and a variety of food trucks. Headlining is Naden Band\, the 35-member ensemble of the Royal Canadian Navy that was first formed in 1940. Visitors will also have a chance to view restored wooden boats and vessels on the dock and learn about their history\, including the SS Master\, one of the oldest steam-powered tugboats in the region built in 1922.
