DESCRIPTION:Canada Day – July 1\nSteveston Salmon Festival \nThe City of Richmond\, Steveston Community Society and Richmond Agricultural and Industrial Society will present the 77th annual Steveston Salmon Festival across Steveston Village. \nThe one day community-wide celebration features a parade\, live music\, performances\, food and much more. It kicks off at 9:30am with the Kids Bike Parade followed by the official festival parade from 10:00am to noon\, starting at Garry Point Park and ending at Moncton Street and Railway Avenue. \nThere will be two live music zones with performances from noon to 7:00pm. Dr. Strangelove will perform from 5:30 to 7:00pm. DESCRIPTION:April 7\nRichmond Cherry Blossom Festival\nGarry Point Park\n11am-4pm\nVancouver Okinawa Taiko\, Steveston Minyo\, Nori Nori & Komori\, and more! This festival brings the community together to enjoy the beauty of the cherry blossom alongside the cultural richness of Japan. Between 11 am and 4 pm\, the Hanami Tent will offer displays and demonstrations from local artisans including calligraphy\, bonsai and origami\, as well as the opportunity to experience a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony. In the Sakura Tent\, visitors can experience an ikebana demonstration\, and performances by taiko drummers\, folk singers and dancers.
