Mia Zhou has always been fascinated with film acting and stage performance. She has been involved in film acting for more than ten productions, including twice as a leading character. She has performed in storytelling shows and events throughout lower mainland for nine years. She was cast by the international premiere of Listen To Your Mother Show of 2016, at St. James Hall Theatre. (10 performers were cast from almost one hundred people.) One decade ago, she won third praise honors for a multi-discipline ensemble performance competition in Singapore. She weekly participates in cold-read acting classes and improvisation workshops, and has taken scene study classes for three years. The professional storytelling performer Mary Gaven has been Mia’s mentor for years, and now the experienced theatre actor and director Paul Beckett is her acting mentor. She is also a dancer and good at many types of dances, and she loves reciting poetry.
