Artist Biography
Emily Tom is a Chinese/Filipino artist currently studying Fine Arts at Langara College. Emily has a background in special education and has worked as an educational assistant for the Richmond School District since 2019. Emily left her full time job to pursue her passion deeply rooted in the arts and her love of teaching. Emily is heavily inspired by collage and engages with themes of food and the memories associated with sharing a meal with loved ones. Through her work Emily is able to capture the connection we all share because of foods ability to bring people together.
