Implementing Philosophy
Reigning from Richmond British Columbia, Erizyan Ailys Camasosa is a 17 year old acrylic painter whose work is characterized by small intricate detail and exploring different ways to utilize color. Drawing inspiration from personal experience and the vibrancy of the 1980s, their practice involves oil pastels, acrylic paint, dollar store brushes, ambition and experimentation to explore what it is to be human. Their work has been featured in multiple art gallery walks at McMath secondary school. Erizyan continues to develop their practice through different material, implementing philosophy, and events that life has to throw at them. Through their art, Erizyan strives to question the viewer, what is life to you? Are we all just lost dogs trying to find their way, or do we as individuals have a greater significance on earth?
