Digital painting
Gary Nay is a self-taught local artist who is on the forefront of digital painting. Using an iPad as his canvas and a stylus as his brush, he creates digital images that become paintings, limited edition prints and art cards. He is an award-winning member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, and actively promotes the local artistic community through various organizations. His whimsical style is playful and colourful with an irreverent and thought-provoking edge.
I love this medium because it allows for an abundance of experimentation, spontaneity and whimsy. I also love that limited edition prints from my digital paintings are affordable to those who haven’t the means to collect original art.
