Artist Statement:
I am an Arts supporter – not an artist! RAC members and artists in general could not get along without people like me! – that’s my line but you can use it. To be Arts Supporter you need an appreciation of the power and depth the Arts brings to community, a city and area. It is as important as roads, and bridges and pipes in the ground. It is the way in which we look at our world. I do not necessarily create it but I know it’s there and I value those who bring art to my world.
Currently I am Co-Chair of Steveston Historical Society, which is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2026. We host pop-up artists with new artists every month. We have just finished our Songs in the Snow in partnership with RAC, featuring local performers in celebration of the Christmas season. In summer we partner with Steveston-London’s drama department to produce Steveston Alive! Walking Tour Vignettes. Talented costumed student actors perform short vignettes depicting Steveston’s history (written by no other than local actor/screen writer Andrew Wade).
