Art as a Way of Living
Artist Statement
I am a self-taught artist who has been passionate about art since childhood. In school, I completed elementary and intermediate drawing exams, and from there, my love for painting grew stronger each day. Over time, I began working with watercolour, acrylic, and oil, exploring landscapes, portraits, memory art, and even paper carving. My work has been featured in international calendars by L.I.F. for the past four years, and I was honoured with the Raja Ravi Varma International Bronze Award for my painting “Music-The Magic Key.” I have also received multiple certificates recognizing my work and remain active in several artist groups.
For me, creating art is more than a skill. It is a way of living. When I pick up a brush, I lose track of time, often working late into the night. Each finished piece leads me to the next, and the process itself brings me joy and meaning. Art is where I find myself most alive, and without it, I feel incomplete.
