For Community. Forever.
Founded in 1990, the Richmond Community Foundation manages over 60 forever funds, with a combined value exceeding $6 million. These funds, established by community organizations, businesses, families, and individuals, continue growing over time. Indeed, as their name implies, they last forever.
As the funds earn investment income, a portion is distributed back into the community as grants to local charities and scholarships to Richmond students. To date, the Foundation has awarded upwards of $2.7 million in grants and scholarships.
The Foundation supports initiatives in a broad range of fields: education, sports and fitness, arts and culture, social services, and the environment, just to name a few. Through the Richmond Youth Foundation, meanwhile, it supports projects that are either led by, or benefit, Richmond youth.
