RAC Member Joselito Macapagal has an exhibition of their artwork up at the Richmond City Hall Galleria (6911 No. 3 Road) from now until June 18th, 2019.
Joselito Macapagal paints in the style of Impressionists for this series; using short and bold strokes, bright vibrant colours and varying textures. He looks to capture the essence of the subject in that moment of time and convey its beauty to the viewer. Macapagal holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, from the University of East Manila in 1977, and has participated in group painting exhibitions in various galleries in Manila prior to immigrating to Canada with his family in 1989. Recently retired from a career as a Computer Signmaker in Richmond BC, Joselito has won awards and exhibited for many years in community centres and exhibition venues in Richmond and across the Lower Mainland.
