The Arts Connection and the Community Arts Council of Richmond are excited to announce:
REACH TO TEACH…IMMERSED IN THE ARTS PROGRAM
June 2023 Spring/Summer Session Art Exhibition
Ironwood Library Branch

This exceptional collaborative art project was created by students from James Whiteside and James McKinney Elementary Schools, where 15 grade 6/7 students from James Mckinney and 15 from James Whiteside came together to complete a complex collaborative Visual Art Installation inspired by American Ceramicist Courtney Mattison.
On June 15th, a celebration was held for the students at the Arts Conservatory. The celebration included a field trip to view the art installation located at Ironwood Library and a buffet luncheon in our large Dance Studio, with speeches from representatives of both schools, and wonderful food! We wish the students that are moving onto high school in September all the best, and we hope you get to view the installation they created on display from June15 – July 15 at the Ironwood Library.
