ZZ Top, “That Little Ol’ Band From Texas,” has been rocking for over 50 years, blending rock, blues, and boogie in a way that’s earned them millions of devoted fans. Their signature image—beards, hotrod cars, spinning guitars, and iconic keychains—has become as recognizable as their sound. The band was formed in Houston in 1969, merging Billy Gibbons’ Moving Sidewalks with Frank Beard and Dusty Hill’s American Blues. Their 1973 album Tres Hombres, featuring the hit “La Grange,” catapulted them to national fame, and their 1983 album Eliminator marked a shift towards a tech-influenced sound, propelling them into MTV stardom.
