Open Call: Haiku Exhibition 2026
The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival, in partnership with the Museum of Vancouver, invites emerging and established artists to participate in the Haiku Exhibition 2026. Selected artists will create an original visual piece inspired by one of the six winning haiku poems from 2025, integrating the poem text into the artwork. The installation will feature six illuminated cylinders displayed at signature festival events including The Big Picnic, Blossoms After Dark, and Sakura Days Japan Fair. Each cylinder will be 4 feet in diameter and 6 feet tall, with backlit translucent fabric showcasing the artist’s design. Artists will receive $2,000 each.
