Public art call for Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-waututh artists
The Vancouver Park Board is seeking submissions from 3 artists, 1 from each of the 3 local Nations, xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səlilwətaɬ, to each create an original banner design, inspired by and reflective of the park name, sθәqәlxenәm ts’exwts’áxwi7 (rainbow). This is the second call for artists’ designs in the park, to continue to highlight an exploration of the theme RAINBOW. The design will be used for skyframe banners for a period of 2 years.
