Flamenco Rosario Creative Residency
Every year, Flamenco Rosario offers an emerging or mid-career flamenco dance artist the opportunity to research and develop a creative idea with the support of an experienced mentor. This year’s mentor is Spanish flamenco dancer Irene Morales. To be eligible, applicants must be emerging or mid-career Canadian professional flamenco artists. The selected mentee will receive up to 28 hours of free studio time at the Scotiabank Dance Centre in Vancouver (July 19–25, 2026, 10:00am–2:00pm), 10–15 hours of one-on-one mentorship, and an opportunity to share work at an Open Studio Showing on July 25 with audience participation. A $1,000 award is also included.
