Call for Mural Artist: Newton Recreation Centre
Artist Fee: $27,000. Each short-listed artist or team will be given an honorarium of $700 to further develop their concept proposal. The City of Surrey is inviting expressions of interest to design and paint a mural at the Newton Recreation Centre at 137 St and 72 Ave. The Recreation Centre is conveniently located next to Newton Exchange within the neighbourhood’s economic and civic hub. The mural will stretch in a narrow band around the Centre’s north and west stucco façade. It will become a key feature of the building and a prominent landmark at this busy hub.
