Artist Salon: Mail Art Social

Free hands-on art making social for artists! The Artist Salon moves to an in-person session for a hands-on art making activity to encourage networking, mingling, and creativity with our artist community. Inspired by the upcoming fall exhibition that will include Mail Art, or works that are sent through the postal system, develop your own postcard sized artworks using a variety of drawing, collaging, stitching and mixed media techniques. Art Gallery staff will lead an introduction to the history of Mail Art and how participants can have their own artworks in the upcoming Mail Art Exhibition Fundraiser. All materials provided, but artists are welcome to bring their own specialty collage tools and non-toxic materials (no oil-based). Registration required due to limited spaces.
