Artist Salon with Pacific Crossings: International Residencies

Presented by the Richmond Art Gallery. During fall 2022, artist Karilynn Ming Ho began an international artist residency in Tokyo, Japan: a one-month residency program presented in partnership with Art Center Ongoing Tokyo and Pacific Crossings. This talk will focus Ming Ho’s residency experience, how the program changed due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, and what an artist may expect from an international arts residency. Curators Makiko Hara and Shaun Dacey will share their perspectives on the project and what they learned during their delegation trip to Japan.
