Mixed media artist June Yun’s recent paintings straddle the line between abstraction and representation. They not only capture the realistic side of the ambiance of the four seasons of Vancouver, but also projects ancient literati’s tastes in dreamy settings that she has created. This talk is part of Lipont Gallery’s 2023 Summer Group Exhibition, featuring June Yun alongside seven other esteemed artists, including Fahri Aldin, Paul Chizik, Xizhong He, Alison Keenan, Angela Muellers, Liza Visagie, and Guo Yan. From paintings and drawings to editions and sculptures, the exhibition is a display of local and international talent, on view from July 8th to August 4th.
