Some of the many remarkable gifts artists often bring are seeing beauty in moments of darkness and observing sights and experiences normally taken for granted. This October, during Community Living Month, Aspire Richmond (formerly Richmond Society for Community Living) highlights the importance of support, the appreciation of the unique gifts each one brings, and seeing the world through the lens of someone else. The works featured in this exhibition are by those who participate in day programs provided by Aspire Richmond. “Seeing the world through someone else’s eyes allows us to express kindness and empathy but also a sense of wonder, curiosity and clarity as we learn and grow together because we all are driven to live thriving, connected and happy lives.” Aspire Richmond notes.
