Richmond Public Library is proud to present, in celebration of Asian History Month and in cooperation with artist Nikhat Qureshi and expert calligrapher Professor Laifong Leung, an afternoon of calligraphy where you can learn more about this diverse art style. Professor Leung has taught courses on the Evolution of Chinese Calligraphy at the University of Alberta. The event will include: Presentations on the appreciation and history of calligraphy. Demonstrations of how to practice and write. Hands on creative experience to implement what you’ve learned.
