Nazareth is a Scottish rock band that emerged in the late 1960s and achieved international success in the 1970s. Formed in 1968 in Dunfermline, Scotland, the original lineup consisted of vocalist Dan McCafferty, guitarist Manny Charlton, bassist Pete Agnew, and drummer Darrell Sweet. The band’s breakthrough came with their 1973 album “Razamanaz,” featuring the hit single “Broken Down Angel.” Nazareth continued to gain popularity with a string of successful albums, including “Loud ‘n’ Proud” (1973), “Rampant” (1974), and “Hair of the Dog” (1975), which included the iconic title track. The Headpins, a Canadian rock group formed as a side project in the late 1970s by Chilliwack members Ab Bryant and Brian MacLeod, quickly gained traction in the Vancouver music scene.
