TAGOR: Altered Couture with Shaunalee Yates

Presented by the Textile Arts Guild of Richmond. We all have garments or linens with fond memories that need repair, repurposing or updating in order to be usable again. Shaunalee will talk about creative ways and techniques to alter linens and clothing to save money and keep them out of the waste stream. She will bring samples she has worked on as examples of the kinds of alterations that can be fun and make the old new again. In person attendees may bring a piece of clothing they love that has a problem – rip, stain, outdated etc. to get ideas on how to alter it to be able to use it again.
