Be a part of an Artist Community Celebration
with this Exhibition Opportunity: ArtRich 2019

Richmond, BC –The Richmond Arts Coalition is delighted to once again partner with the Richmond Art Gallery for ArtRich 2019, our third bi-annual, juried exhibition. The exhibition will take place from Saturday, December 7, 2019, to Sunday, January 5, 2020.

The exhibition, presented with the generous support of the Richmond Art Gallery and operating funds from the City of Richmond, provides an opportunity for emerging and established artists from Richmond and nearby communities to exhibit together.

Richmond Arts Coalition (RAC) Chair Linda Barnes says, “After the great successes of ArtRich 2015 and 2017, we are delighted to work with the Richmond Art Gallery again to showcase a wide variety of artistic mediums and celebrate the talent of our local artists. We are looking forward to our opening reception on Friday, December 6th, to which we invite all the artists who submitted work, not just those whose art was chosen by the independent jury.”

ArtRich 2019 looks to celebrate artists with a connection to the Lower Mainland. Entries are not expected to fit any specific theme – we want to see the work you are most excited to share!

Artist submissions will be accepted digitally, and reviewed through a blind-jury process by a panel of three art professionals. This year will once again feature a set of People’s Choice awards for our community’s favourite artworks. Awards will be announced by the Richmond News at the end of the exhibition.

Artists with a connection to the Lower Mainland who are 18 years or older are invited to enter a maximum of two works per artist (regardless of category) for adjudication. Categories include: Painting (paper, canvas, wood, or other); Textile and Fibre Arts; Photography; 3D Works; Digital Media; and Drawing, 2D Mixed Media, and Printmaking. Entries must be received by Thursday, August 15, 2019.
