Influence the 2020 Provincial Budget

Support Arts Funding in BC!

The BC Alliance for Arts and Culture have put together a fantastic, easy to use way to communicate to BC’s politicians that we want them to continue on their election goal of doubling the BC Arts Council budget.

Thank you so much to the Alliance for putting this together! Here is their intro, below:

The 2020 BC budget needs to work for everyone – including artists and cultural workers. Over the past two years, the provincial government has grown the budget of the BC Arts Council from $24 million to $34 million. We gratefully acknowledge this investment, and ask that the government continue to follow through on its 2017 promise: to double the budget of the BC Arts Council.

Let Premier John Horgan, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Lisa Beare, Minister of Finance and Deputy Premier Carole James, and your MLA know why arts, culture and heritage matter to you. Use this letter as a starting point to make your case, then follow the directions to send.
