Nominations are open for the 2022 Richmond Arts Awards!

Help us celebrate a person or organization who is making a positive contribution to our arts community!

Do you know a cultural leader or arts supporter who deserves recognition? Do you work with a star volunteer or community-minded business that has supported the arts, beyond expectations? If so, you can nominate them for the Richmond Arts Awards!

The Richmond Arts Coalition and the City of Richmond are now accepting nominations for the 2022 Richmond Arts Awards.

The Richmond Arts Awards program recognizes the achievements in and contributions to the arts by Richmond residents, artists, educators, organizers and business leaders.

Nominations are being accepted in the following categories:

  • Youth Arts
  • Volunteerism
  • Cultural Leadership
  • Business and the Arts
  • Artistic Innovation
  • Arts Education

All artistic disciplines are eligible: visual, performing, literary and culinary arts, as well as craft, environmental arts and new media. We would particularly love to see Culinary Arts nominations this year!

Once again, the Richmond Arts Coalition will award a $200 cash prize to the winner of the Youth Arts category, which recognizes a performing, literary or visual artist, 24 years of age or younger, who has demonstrated outstanding promise and commitment to the Richmond arts community.

The Richmond Arts Awards are presented through a partnership between the City of Richmond and the Richmond Arts Coalition, and are supported by the Richmond News.
