Cherelle has been recording, performing and producing music since 1995 and her body of work includes 12 independent CDs. Starting off as a solo artist, Cherelle has released 4 solo albums, “Born Naked” 1996, “Something Good is Happening 1998”, “Bleeding Water 2001” and ”Head Traffic 2006”.

In 2009 Cherelle formed a band with her daughter Ajaye called The Jardines. They performed at the opening ceremonies at the 2010 Olympics in Richmond BC. Cherelle was a spokesperson for CTV’s “Do you believe campaign” for the Olympics. The Jardines released their 1st cd at the Olympics, titled “The Jardines” and in 2012 released ” Someone’s Stolen Tuesday”.

The Jardines toured in the UK, across Canada and performed/wrote in Nashville. They also performed at many festivals including The Steveston Salmon Festival, Richmond Oval series, Merritt Mountain Music Fest to name a few. The Jardines disbanded in 2014.

Stone Poets
Bringing together an extraordinary blend of poetic lyricism and emotionally powerful instrumentation, Vancouver, BC’s Stone Poets create exceptionally moving music that genuinely matters. Challenging hearts & minds across the globe to open-up and see the beauty in both the light and dark, together this remarkable three-piece band dives deep into meaningful material that reveals their bold authenticity.

In 2011, Cherelle, Marc Gladstone and Scott Jackson formed Stone Poets, a modern folk trio and to date have released 4 CDs: “Trippin’ on Daisies”, 2012, “Angels and Devils”, 2014, “More Angels and Devils” 2015, and “Smoke and Mirrors” 2018. In 2019, Stone Poets released 2 singles for their Eastern Canadian tour, “Gleam and Beam” and “The Great Divide” – written in Nashville with Daryl and LeeAnn Burgess.

Fall 2022 will see the band release a new album titled “HUMAN”, which will be recorded once again with award winning Producer Sheldon Zaharko.

Musical Expressions
ME was a music series that Cherelle produced with the City of Richmond that had a successful run for 7 years, showcasing over 100 artists at the Cultural Centre and Britannia Shipyards, as well making an appearance at the 2010 Ozone at the Olympic games.

Cherelle is the Marketing/Promotional Director of Pacific Northwest Radio and is President of Laser Beam Music which is a boutique management company for artists Stone Poets, Abandon Paris, HEAD, Zed Productions, Pacific Northwest Radio, Make a Scene Canada.

Cherelle is the recipient of The Richmond Arts Award in 2011 and the Ethel Tibbits award in 2012 for her work in the arts community. She is past President of Pacific Songwriters’ Association and past Vice President of PAIRA – the Pacific Alliance of Independent Recording Artists.
