Whimsical Artwork
Jani is a Hong Kong-Canadian artist based in Richmond, B.C. She creates whimsical artwork inspired by animals and nature.
In 2014, she left her receptionist job to pursue art at the Vancouver Institute of Media Arts. This propelled her into a world of 2D cartoon animation – animating on shows such as Pete the Cat, Alpha Betas and Young Love.
In her personal work, Jani explores playful imagination and nature’s intricate details using gouache, acrylic, pen/pencil, and digital painting. Her goal is to create beautiful, cute and charming art that can bring happiness to others.
