Dancer, Choreographer, and Instructor
Sudnya Mulye, a Bharata Natyam dancer, choreographer and instructor has studied under the great masters in India and holds BFA and MFA in Bharata Natyam dance and choreography from Mumbai University.
Sudnya has spent the last 20 years cultivating the appreciation of Bharata Natyam through teaching, choreographing, artistic direction and collaboration on an international level. She has achieved this by working with both professional and emerging musicians, dancers, choreographers and event organizers from diverse backgrounds from across the globe.
To instill the importance of universal values and Indian Classical arts, Sudnya established the Sudnya Dance Academy. Academy celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2017.
Sudnya has partnered with a diverse range of artists and businesses, working towards “U Create Art Productions” – creating a platform to engage youth and future generations.
With her dedication to the art form and with her experience, she has volunteered her time as an Artistic Director for cultural, multicultural and charity events, as well as contributing through Panels to advocate for Bharata Natyam.
Sudnya was awarded for her work at Sangeet MartandPandit Ram Marathe Smriti Samaroh in her hometown in India in 2018.
Recently in 2019, Sudnya Mulye was nominated for a Richmond Arts Award in the Arts Education category.
